Happy Tuesday TrendDay! Today we are looking at one of my
absolute favorite trends: The Midi Skirt. So I guess I gave it away up front: I
am taking this trend! It may be because I love girly, femine pieces or it may
be that the midi was popular in the 1940’s, a fashion decade known for elegance
and grace, but either way, I promise you the midi is here to stay! Why?
- It’s a timeless piece… literally it has stood
the test of time. It was popular in the 1940’s, made a return in the 1970’s,
and then made a major comeback in 2011 and has stuck around since!
- It’s so easy to style – a blouse, chambray
shirt, sweater, leather jacket, or t-shirt on top and heels, flats, boots,
converse on bottom and you are ready to go.
- It’s fun and girly and who doesn’t want to feel
both of these things when getting dressed in the morning?!
I have my eye on these looks in particular as they would all be great
options for Valentine’s Day, don’t you think?
