Mixing prints

It’s officially summer time weather in the south and that means finally pulling out shorts! This pair in particular is one of my favorite pairs. I bought them at a cute little boutique in Knoxville called Serendipity a few years back. I love the fun print and the light weight material makes them perfect for those hot, humid Atlanta days. While I typically would pair these with a solid top – navy, white, or denim – I decided to share how to mix prints with today’s look. The trick with mixing prints is to pick one or two colors to tie the prints together – in this case, navy and white. I will say a navy striped top is a pretty safe bet if you’re more hesitant to try print mixing (check out this, this, and this look for more ideas). Since I've been all about experimenting lately, I definitely want to keep pushing the print mixing limit so stay tuned for more ideas!
