Cupcakes and Cashmere Clothing Line

Magnolia shift dress // El Rey floral print romper (sold out)

This past Monday one of my favorite bloggers, Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere, came out with her own clothing line. I have been following Emily since she started her blog in 2008 and knew her clothing line would be nothing short of amazing. And sure enough, it is! While I wish I could have purchased everything, these are the two pieces I decided on and why:

  1. Magnolia shift dress in poppy: Well first off, it's called the Magnolia dress! And a girl with a blog named Midtown Magnolia can't pass up a namesake dress :) Other more serious reasons: it's a classic shift dress in a fun color that can be dressed up or down and that I can get multiple wears out of - already planning on wearing to a rehearsal dinner, out to brunch with sandals, or for a date night!
  2. El Rey floral print romper (sold out): I knew this piece would be the most popular item as it's just so unique! And sure enough it's already sold out. Its navy foundation and long sleeves that can be buttoned up are qualities that will easily transition this into fall. Plus, like the Magnolia dress it can be dressed up or down.

Be on the lookout for outfit posts featuring these two items. For now, you can shop the entire Cupcakes and Cashmere collection at Nordstrom or Shopbop

*I was lucky enough to meet Emily when I lived in NYC for a semester as seen here!
