Happy
Friday friends! Today I'm sharing a fun girls' night in party that I hosted last night. It's become somewhat of a tradition now
that sometime in February I host a themed girls' night. Last year's party
involved pairing wine and chocolate, and while that was an amazing combination,
I wanted to try something new this year. Since no girls' night is complete
without wine, I started researching other pairing options. As soon as I
stumbled across a girl scout cookies and wine pairings chart, I knew this was
the winner! What could be better than that combination?!
Since I
was feeling extra creative and since I wanted to make all my girlfriends feel
extra loved in this month of February, I set out to find the perfect, girly
decorations for the occasion. As soon as I saw these card fans at Target, the
color scheme was set—pastels with pops of gold. Every decorating decision after
that was centered around this color scheme. While I supplied the five varieties
of Girl Scout cookies (Tagalongs, Thin Mints, Samoas, Trefoils, and Do-Si-Dos),
I had each of my friends bring one of the wine pairing bottles.
We started
the night off trying each of the pairings (see pairing chart below) and then
went back for seconds, thirds, and fourths of our favorites! Girl Scout cookies
and wine is a match made in heaven. I'm not sure why I didn't think of this
sooner! Needless to say, it was a delicious and fun night with some of my
closest Atlanta friends.
