Transitioning into spring

Acadia tie-neck dress (currently on sale!) // J. Crew boots (old) // J. Crew purse (old) // Target stud earrings (similar here) // {Boots and purse last seen in this post}

About this time every year, I start wanting to pull out my spring clothes. However, with the temperature fluctuating from seventy degrees one day to forty degrees the next, it's not quite time for all my favorite shorts and dresses. My solution: a trans-seasonal dress such as this Acadia tie-neck dress from Anthropologie.

Visiting Anthropologie's sale section in January has been a yearly routine for me. As they look to transition their store for spring, their sale section is stocked with amazing finds, and if you time it right, you may even get an additional percentage off! When I shop the Anthro sale, I look for timeless, investment pieces that I can wear year round. This beautiful dress is just that piece. Its midi length and long sleeves, yet light weight fabric, allow for year round wear. Its navy color and pretty floral pattern create a timeless piece that you'll reach for again and again. Pairing it with tall boots and knee socks, like I did in today's post, makes it perfect for those cooler in-between months. As the weather warms up, I'll be wearing it with flats and eventually with wedges or sandals in the summer months. As fall rolls around, I'll switch it up with booties and a scarf!

If you're as confused by what to wear during these in-between months as I am, then shop this dress or these other similar Anthropologie sale options that I love: Mixed stripe dressGathered jersey dress, Fara surplice dressGalena midi dress.
